My name is Tarra Brazeau. I am a pet portrait artist in Ottawa, Ontario.
My path to becoming a pet portrait artist wasn't traditional, but it was inevitable. After 15 rewarding years as a professional veterinary technician, I turned my lifelong devotion to animals into full-time art.
Through Pawfect Artistry, my mission is to honour the deep, unspoken bond we share with our animal family. I specialize in highly detailed graphite portraits designed to capture the unique soul and expresison of your pets. Every piece recieves hours of meticulous care to ensure it feels truly alive and uniquely theirs.

Is the portrait drawn by AI?
No! I personally spend hours drawing your pets portrait by hand. You receive the original piece right to your doorstep.
How long does it take?
Each portrait takes several days to complete. Depending on the amount of commissions I am doing at the time, it can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to complete your artwork to be ready for shipping.
Can I get updates on my portraits progress?
Yes! I'm happy to share the progress so you can see your pet's portrait come to life step by step. Once I have begun your portrait, you'll receive multiple updates during the drawing process.
Can I include a gift message?
Yes! You can include a personalized gift message with your order. Simply add your message at checkout, and I’ll include it with your artwork—making it a thoughtful and meaningful gift for any pet lover.
Will my portrait be framed?
Standard portraits are delivered unframed so you can choose a display style that best suits your home. However, framing is available as an add-on service for an additional cost. Just let me know during our consultation if you would like your finished piece to arrive ready to hang.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. All artwork is carefully packaged and sent with a tracking number. Shipping cost will depend on where in the world you live.
What kind of photos should I upload?
Clear, high-quality photos work best. Try to include images that show your pet’s face clearly, along with any details or expressions you love. Multiple photos are encouraged to help capture their personality as accurately as possible.
Can I include more than one pet in a portrait?
Yes! You can include multiple pets (up to 3 total) in a single portrait. Each additional pet is an extra $100, as it requires additional time and detail to ensure every pet is captured accurately and with the same level of care.
