My path to pet portraiture wasn't traditional, but it was inevitable. Before dedicating myself to art full-time, I spent 15 rewarding years working as a professional veterinary technician. While I chose to transition out of clinical medicine, my deep love for animals completely shapes my life and work today.

Through Pawfect Artistry, my mission is to honuor the unspoken bond we share with our animals. I specialize in highly detailed graphite portraits that capture the unique soul and expression of your cats and dogs (and other pets). They aren't just pets; they are family. Because of that, I pour hours of meticulous love into ensuring every piece is entirely lifelike and uniquely theirs.

When I’m not in my Ottawa-area studio rendering fine details, I’m bringing my 15 years of veterinary expertise to life on my YouTube channel. There, I share my drawing process alongside practical advice, pet care tips, and animal advocacy.

How It Works

STEP 1: SHARE YOUR PHOTOS

Choose a clear, natural photo of your pet—either a favourite you already have or a new one taken just for this portrait. If your beloved pet has sadly passed away, please don’t worry. Simply send over as many photos as you have, and we will work together to choose the perfect one to capture their memory.

STEP 2: LET'S CONNECT

I love knowing the story behind the souls I draw. Once your photos are submitted, I will personally reach out to chat and get a glimpse into your pet's unique personality and quirks. Connecting with their story helps me truly capture their spirit on paper.

STEP 3: SIT BACK AND WATCH THE MAGIC

While I draw, I film a custom time-lapse video of your portrait coming to life, which you'll get to watch later! I will also send you progress photos along the way. If you notice anything that needs a little tweak, just let me know—I want to make sure it is absolutely perfect for you.

STEP 4: RECEIVE YOUR CUSTOM MASTERPIECE

Your finished portrait arrives at your door beautifully presented in a classic black frame, ready to hang. To ensure your memory lasts a lifetime, the drawing is treated with a professional-grade protective fixative to preserve the details for generations to come.
